Job Description

Our client, a reputable hospital system, is seeking experienced Radiation Therapists to join their oncology team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality radiation treatments, maintaining equipment, and supporting patients throughout their care journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by radiation oncologists.
  • Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment in accordance with clinical protocols.
  • Assist in treatment planning and preparation under the direction of the radiation oncologist.
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and emotional support during treatment sessions.
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning throughout procedures.
  • Maintain accurate treatment records and communicate effectively with the oncology care team.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an approved program in Radiation Therapy.
  • Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Licensed by the state of New Mexico or eligible for licensure.
  • CPR certification required.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in radiation therapy preferred.
  • Knowledgeable of the operation methods and safety standards of all equipment producing ionizing radiation within the department.
  • Ability to handle radiation sources safely and effectively.
