Maintenance B Description: _Position Title:_ _Maintenance B Technician_ _Pay Rate:_ _($26.91/hr. up to $32.00/hr.)_ _Sign on Bonus:_ _$1000 after 30 days,_ _$500 after 6 months,_ _$500 after 1 year_ _Category/Shift:_ _Hourly Full-Time (6pm-6am )_ _Rotating Schedule. 5 days on, 5 days off, 2 days on, 2 days off_ _Physical Location:_ _Fort Smith South Box_ _4215 Planters Road_ _Fort Smith, AR 72901_ _The Job You Will Perform:_ + _Maintenance Technicians perform a variety of activities to maintain plant equipment and facilities in optimum operating condition. These activities include scheduled preventive maintenance and emergency / break down repairs. Maintenance technicians report to the Maintenance Supervisor. Pay depending on skill level._ + _Primary maintenance technician duties / responsibilities include:_ + _Following all safety rules and practices._ + _Ensure product safety_ _1.2 -performing preventative maintenance activities such as lubricating, measuring wear, measuring positions, repositioning components, and observing operations, vibrations, and noise levels;_ _1.3 -performing emergency / break down maintenance as necessary to support plant operations; 1.4 - referencing equipment manuals and other technical literature; knowledge of detailed mechanical equipment drawings and ability to use detailed blueprints in carrying out troubleshooting and equipment repairs; 1.5 -contacting and working with vendors and subcontractors to achieve desired results; 1.6 -accurately using measurement and test equipment; knowledge of types of pitch, diameter of gears (spur, bevel, right angle, herringbone and rack and pinion); ability to install and check for backlash and wear and maintain gears; knowledge of all tools and proficient with scales, tape measures, micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, torque wrenches and pullers 1.7 -performing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam system, and other repairs and installations as needed; read and interpret pneumatic and hydraulic schematics and diagrams; ability to design, build and install simple pneumatic and hydraulic systems_ _1.8 -safely operating the boiler, and maintaining adequate operation steam pressure (greater than or equal to 180 PSI);_ _1.9 -knowledge of mechanical drives and their function and troubleshooting_ _1.10 -knowledge of rigging (coma longs, port-a-power, blocking, chain falls, slings, chokers, hydraulic jack, machine dollies, booms and spreader bars;_ _1.11 -proficient in all types of welding (torch, stick, mig and tig)_ _1.12 -Identify types of bearing and class of fits (roller, ball, tapered and cylindrical and spherical); identify proper sizing of belts, sheaves, sprockets and chains._ _1.13 -maintaining clean and organized work areas, and cleaning up work areas as part of completing assigned tasks;_ _1.14 -accurately and completely preparing and maintain maintenance records and other paperwork;_ _1.15 -utilize maintenance computer system to enter notifications, time, research parts, manuals, drawings, etc._ _1.15 -trouble-shooting and solving problems;_ _1.16 -maintaining teamwork with other associates;_ _1.17 -keeping supervision informed of problems and/or unusual situations;_ _2.0 Qualifications for maintenance technicians include the ability to perform the duties / responsibilities of the job with or without accommodation; the ability to accurately use and read a variety of measuring devices; well-rounded electrical, mechanical, and machine shop skills and experience; the ability to learn, and the ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of a team._ _2.1 The maintenance supervisor evaluates maintenance technician qualifications._ _The Skills You Will Bring:_ + _Electrical Maintenance Experience Preferred_ + _Proven experience as an electrician_ + _Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems_ + _Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints_ + _Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines_ + _Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability_ + _Knowledge of the function and wiring of PLC's_ + _Locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment_ + _Knowledge of the functions of motor frequency drives_ + _This is a Safety Sensitive position_ + _This is an interview position and will require taking the maintenance skills test prior to interviewing._ _The Benefits You Will Enjoy:_ + _Paid time off including Vacation and Holidays_ + _Retirement, pension, and 401k Matching Program_ + _Medical & Dental_ + _Education & Development (including Tuition Reimbursement)_ + _Life & Disability Insurance_ _The Career You Will Build:_ + _Leadership training_ + _Promotional opportunities_ _The Impact You Will Make:_ _We continue to build a better future for people, the plant, and our company!
